Glovertown RCMP are looking for a man wanted on a number of outstanding charges.

48-year-old David Elliott is wanted on a number of charges including flight from police, possession of a prohibited weapon and failing to comply with a release order.

Police received a report on Wednesday that Elliott was seen driving in the community of Eastport, in breach of conditions from a previous release order.

An officer located the vehicle reversing in oncoming traffic and identified Elliott as the driver.

Police attempted to pull the vehicle over but it sped from the scene.

The vehicle was found abandoned a short time last.

RCMP say Elliott is actively evading police.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
