The city of St. John’s is following both the federal and provincial government in implementing a mandatory vaccination policy for its employees.
The capital city says by December 17, all municipal employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical exemption.
Details of the city policy are being finalized and will be made public once complete.
The city says the policy is being implemented with public health recommendations and to provide what it calls “as safe a workplace as possible.”
