The town of Holyrood has cancelled its community bonfire night, which was slated to take place tomorrow. The town says it’s due to safety concerns surrounding ongoing construction at the Holyrood Waterfront.
Anyone who chooses to have a fire in their backyard is asked to follow proper safety protocols as outlined by the Holyrood Fire Department. Those tips include keeping the fire at least 25 feet away from any structure or anything that can burn, keep the fire small and easy to control, and never leaving a fire unattended.
Due to the safety concerns surrounding the construction at the Holyrood Waterfront, the Town and the @HolyroodFire regret to inform the public that this year's Community Bonfire is cancelled.
