Metro police charged three people with assault after separate incidents Friday.
Shortly before noon, a complainant reported an assault by visiting RNC Headquarters in St. John’s. Police located the 56-year-old suspect and arrested him for assault and forcible confinement.
Around three hours later, RNC were called to the centre city because of an unwelcomed person at a commercial residential unit, and arrested a 28-year-old woman for assault, mischief to property, and five counts of breaching a court order.
And around 11:00 p.m., police were called downtown to deal with a disorderly conduct call at a commercial establishment. A 23-year-old man was arrested for assault and breach of the Petty Trespass Act.
All three were sent to the lockup for court.
