The Newfoundland Growlers had in impressive opening weekend in the town of CBS, winning two out of three games against the Adirondack Thunder.
Friday’s home opener saw the Growlers return to home ice for the first time in 608 days to take a 4-1 victory.
Then on Saturday, after a five game winning streak the team was dealt its first loss 6-4.
On Sunday the team avenged that loss closing out the weekend series with a shutout victory 5-0.
The Growlers are back on the ice for another three game series, this time against Worcester Railers, beginning this Friday in CBS.
