Charges have been laid against an 18-year-old man accused of sexual offences.

The RNC’s Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit initiated an investigation in July, following an alleged incident at a St. John’s home on July 14th.

Investigators say the suspect is known to the victim.

The accused has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching.

He has been released on conditions to appear in court at a later date.
