The post office in Port aux Basques is back to processing large volumes of mail and packages following disruptions caused by the recent washouts on the southwest coast.

Canada Post says the post office on Main Street in Port aux Basques will be open today and tomorrow to help clear some of the backlog in parcels.

The office will be open on a temporary basis from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.
