The provincial government is thanking the Canadian Armed Forces for its help following last week’s damaging rainfall on the southwest coast.
Thirty-four members of Joint Task Force Atlantic were assigned to the province last week, wrapping up their efforts on December 2nd.
The members and two Griffon helicopters logged 28 flying hours, transporting 70 people to appointments and moving some 1550 pounds of cargo.
Work to repair roads washed out by the torrential rains continues.
