A Burin Peninsula business will be giving back again this Christmas offering a free Christmas dinner to those alone or unable to avail of a meal on Christmas day.
Leon Walsh the owner of Chase’s Diner & Take Out in Marystown offered free meals including turkey and all the fixings to people who were alone last Christmas due to the pandemic.
He says they provided a Christmas dinner to about 15 to 20 people last year, most of which were take-outs because people were still too afraid to come in. This year they’ll be staggering the meals so people can come in and be with others while still social distancing.
Those in the Burin and Marystown area who are interested must register beforehand by contacting Chase’s or Walsh.
To register you can call the restaurant at 279-3300, or Leon at 277-4829.
