Muskrat Falls rate mitigation was among the topics discussed during a meeting between Premier Andrew Furey and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today in Ottawa.
After the meeting, Furey met with members of the Ottawa press gallery this afternoon.
He says the province and the feds are working toward finalizing the agreement in principal announced earlier this year on the $5.2-billion rate mitigation plan for Muskrat Falls.
“The two teams are still working through the exact mechanics,” said Furey, adding he’s satisfied that “the commitment will be honoured in full.”
