RCMP have arrested a 48-year-old man wanted on an arrest warrant since October.
David Elliot was arrested late last week, hiding in the attic of a home in Sandringham on the Eastport Peninsula.
Glovertown RCMP received information that Elliott was in breach of court ordered conditions on October 20 of this year. Police located Elliott on the same day at a traffic stop, but he fled from police on foot and had been evading police since then.
Police received information on Thursday of last week that let to another warrant from the court to arrest Elliott, who was taken into custody without incident after he was found hiding in the attic.
He’s facing charges of flight from police, seven counts of uttering threats, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon and failing to comply with a release order.
