A new airline is coming to town in Deer Lake, the prospect of which has people excited.
Flair Airlines has struck a deal with Deer Lake Regional airport to begin twice-weekly flights to Kitchener-Waterloo, with prices beginning at $49 one way. From there, travelers can avail of similarly low-cost flights to places like Florida and British Columbia.
Tammy Priddle, President and CEO of Deer Lake Regional Airport, says people in the industry, and the region in general, are excited.
She says this is the first ultra-low carrier to travel to the province. She says it’s a big deal and changes the playing field in terms of air access.
