The provincial government is going to provide rapid test kits to staff in childcare centres.
Five kits will be made available to each student, staffer and teacher in the K-12 school system, leaving owners and operators of childcare centres to ask that they be included.
Education Minister Tom Osborne says they will be made available to early-learning educators through both school districts.
The Department plans to make rapid tests available for all early childhood educators working in regulated child care services, including child care centres or family home-based child care services.
