The Newfoundland Growlers staved off elimination with a 4-1 victory over the Florida Everblades Friday night.
The dogs had goals from Todd Skirving, two from Gordie Green and a goal Derian Plouffe in the final minute.
Keith Petruzzelli made 31 saves on 32 shots.
The Growlers need to win their next match Saturday night against the Everblades to force a game six in the series.
