A serious accident forced the temporary closure of a portion of Empire Avenue in the capital city’s west end Thursday evening.
The crash, involving a motorcycle and SUV occurred around 5:00 Thursday afternoon. A portion of the road from Winslow Street to Dammerill’s Lane was closed while the St. John’s Regional Fire Department and Royal Newfoundland Constabulary attended to the scene.
