Today is the first day of summer, but it’s not going to feel like it across most of the province.
Environment Canada Meteorologist David Neil explains that Eastern Newfoundland will be experiencing rain, drizzle and fog for most of the day.
The exception will be the west coast, where Neil expects to see some clearing throughout the day.
Temperatures on the island will be in the mid to upper teens.
In Labrador, the skies will be sunny, but Neil says temperatures will only be in the low teens.
Neil sums things up by saying that Labrador will have nice but cool weather, while the island will mostly by drizzly but slightly warmer.
Summer is on the way, however, with Neil noting that temperatures across most of the province will be consistently in the low 20s later in the week.
