CUPE has launched a new ad campaign highlighting what it says is the damage that will be done by the provincial government’s plans for the economy.
The ad campaign is asking residents to “Reject the Reset” and stop the province’s plans to “destroy” public services.
CUPE NL President Sherry Hillier says the union, which represents frontline public service workers, is worried by plans to sell-off provincial assets and privatize services.
Thousands of jobs will be lost, says Hillier, and government needs to act quickly to protect the health care system and public services that make life more affordable.
