A St. John’s man has been charged in connection with a shooting incident in February that sent a 20-year-old woman to hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police were called to the Health Sciences in the early morning hours of Friday, February 25 after a woman arrived at the hospital for treatment.
That prompted a request by police for possible video footage from the area of Bay Bulls Road and the Pitts Memorial on-ramp in Kilbride.
RNC say a 36-year-old St. John’s man was arrested on Sunday, June 26, and has been charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm, careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and other firearms-related offences.
The accused has been released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
