One of the province’s most popular bands is celebrating a significant anniversary.
The Celtic Connection have been playing together for 30 years.
The band practiced for the very first time on the same day the Cod Moratorium was announced back in 1992. Since then, they have become one of the province’s most enduring acts, with one of their most well-known songs being Sixteen for a While.
Bandmember Scott Graham says the band has been very fortunate as lifelong friendships have been made through music.
He says the band life is “not always rosy,” but what has remained throughout all the years is the friendship between the members of the band. He says that’s visible whenever they get in stage, noting that it’s “almost like an alter ego.”
