The Munn Insurance Tickle Swim for Mental Health will be in-person and in-the-water this year for the first time in a couple of years.
The open water swim across the frigid waters of the Tickle between Portugal Cove and Bell Island helps raise awareness of mental health issues and financial support for services.
Co-chairs Sheilagh O’Leary and Paula Tessier say the swimmers, kayakers and safety boat supporters are deeply committed to achieving the 5km swim.
The event is set for Sept. 17th with a rain date of Sept. 18.
