The Opposition Critic for Health and Community Services says he’s hopeful that positive change will come from Tom Osborne being shifted into the health portfolio.
On Wednesday Osborne and former Health Minister John Haggie swapped duties, with the latter being named Education Minister.
Paul Dinn says Osborne is taking on a huge challenge for the province, and he’s hopeful he’ll do his due diligence and some improvements will be made.
Dinn says the change is “long overdue,” noting that Haggie being the Health Minister for seven years, the longest-serving ever in that position, was part of the problem.
After seven years he says a new set of eyes was needed on that portfolio, and he’s hoping it will bring about some positive change.
