A 57-year-old man is dead following a drowning incident in Witless Bay on Saturday.
Police responded to a report of a body found submerged in the water at a local swimming hole near Southside Track Road shortly before 8:00 Saturday evening.
The Witless Bay Volunteer Fire Department removed the body from the water. Emergency Medical Services were unsuccessful in their attempt to revive the man.
RCMP are working with the office of the Chief Medical Officer as their investigation continues.
