A traffic stop in Lethbridge on the Bonavista Peninsula resulted in drug charges against a man in his 60s.
Clarenville RCMP pulled the vehicle over on Wednesday afternoon. 61-year-old Llewellyn Chatman of Canning’s Cove was driving with a suspended driver’s licence and without insurance.
Police say he was found in possession of more than $6,000 in cash, a quantity of cocaine, and a number of items consistent with drug trafficking.
Canning is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
His vehicle was seized and impounded. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
