A Facebook group created to share vacation photos and stories throughout the province has become increasingly popular both locally and internationally.

Lori King, founder of the ‘StaycationNL – Your guide to the Good Spots in Newfoundland and Labrador’ group, says she’s shocked by the 80,000 members who have joined the group.

She created it in 2020 in search of stay-cation suggestions from locals across the province.

The site is now filled with thousands of posts from local and international tourists who are sharing their best travel experiences and suggestions for trips to Newfoundland and Labrador.

King believes contributions from locals have actually inspired more people to explore the province.
