A group of teens was issued tickets with more charges possibly coming after violating the Highway Traffic Act on the West Coast.
Around 11:30 p.m. on August 1, police found a vehicle in Hughes Brook with three male teens sitting in the open windows with their bodies hanging outside. They pulled the car over and ticketed the 18-year-old female driver for operating a vehicle without reasonable consideration for other persons, with more passengers than seatbelts, and with an underaged passenger not properly secured.
Two 16-year-old passengers were also ticketed for not wearing their seatbelts. The other underage youth was transported home.
Police are continuing to investigate to see if more charges will be laid.
