The Royal St. John’s Regatta is a no-go for today.
Due to winds gusting to around 40 kilometres per hour this afternoon and a more favourable forecast tomorrow, the committee has delayed today’s regatta.
Ashley Peach, Captain of the Coursed and Vice-President of the committee, said their decision was unanimous.
She says they took into account both the rowers and concessions and decided that tomorrow was a better day for both components of the Regatta.
The call comes down at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.
The Hindu Temple had set up a concession at pondside but instead will just be offering takeout from the Temple itself today from 4 to 7 p.m. on Penney Lane off Torbay Rd.
