Movement is expected regarding pay equity legislation during the upcoming sitting of the provincial legislature.
Premier Andrew Furey says pay equity is a priority for government and they will be “moving forward with a piece of legislation to address that” in the fall.
The Premier did not get into specific details about what is planned, however, only to say that they hope it will be a “progressive” piece of legislation that everyone can be proud of.
