RCMP on the west coast are investigating an allegation that a stranger tried to coerce a teenager to get into his van.
The incident occurred Monday night on Seal Cove Road in the Stephenville Crossing area.
Police say the male teen was first asked for directions by the driver of a black mini-van.
It’s alleged the man then asked the teen to get in and help him find an address.
Police say when the teenager refused, the driver became angry and demanded the boy get in the van.
They say that’s when the teen ran home and the van left the area.
Few other details are available, other than the fact that the driver of the van had a raspy voice.
Bay St. George RCMP are asking anyone who recently experienced or saw suspicious activity involving a black mini-van to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
