One of the suspects in a stabbing rampage in Saskatchewan on Sunday has been found dead.
According to the RCMP, wanted man Damien Sanderson was found dead on the James Smith Cree Nation late Monday morning.
They say his body was found in a heavily grassed area near a house being investigated. He’s said to have wounds that are not believed to be self-inflicted.
Including Sanderson, police say 11 people are dead and 19 people have been injured across 13 crime scenes in relation to the stabbings.
Myles Sanderson, the brother of Damien, is still at large and has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder. They say he may have sustained injuries, but that’s not confirmed.
Police note Sanderson has a lengthy criminal record and is considered armed and dangerous. They say people should not approach him if seen.
