The Newfoundland Growlers have re-signed defenseman and team captain James Melindy to a standard player contract for the coming ECHL hockey season.
The 28-year-old Goulds native and 2019 Kelly Cup champion has appeared in 138 regular season games in the Growlers jersey. He is the only player to wear the “C” for the Dogs.
The Growlers return to the Mary Brown’s Centre for the 2022-23 ECHL season on Friday, October 21 when they host the Reading Royals.
