Week two of the Canada Winter Games has begun in Charlottetown, PEI.
Team NL will compete in 10 sports this week including alpine skiing, cross country skiing, curling, women’s hockey, figure skating, badminton, boxing, and judo.
For the first time in the province’s history, Team NL will also compete in the snowboard event.

Team NL earned a gold medal in men’s trampoline during the first week of the games.
Meanwhile, Gabe Flynn with the province’s gymnastics team received the Pat Lechelt True Sport Award given to an athlete during each week of the games who shows the true sport values of fairness, excellence, inclusion and fun.
Closing ceremonies take place on Sunday, March 5.
