A teacher at Crescent Collegiate in Blaketown, Trinity Bay, has been charged with assaulting a student.
Police were first called about the incident on February 20.
They say the assault, involving a teacher and a student, occurred while school was in session.
Fifty-three-year-old Katherine Peddle was arrested last Friday and charged with assault against a student.
She has been released from custody and will appear in court on May 10.
