The Triple Bay Eagles Ground Search and Rescue team was called in for assistance on the weekend to help transport an injured snowmobiler for medical treatment.
The woman was thrown from her machine after hitting a patch of ice on Butt’s Pond in Goobies on Saturday.
The woman was wearing all the proper safety equipment including a helmet. RCMP say she received immediate care from her riding companions who included a registered nurse, and a firefighter in training, until the rescue team arrived.
She was safely transported to hospital for medical attention.
