A man who was attempting to shoplift items from a retail outlet in the Village Shopping Centre is facing additional charges after trying to lead officers astray.
The incident happened at about 1:00 yesterday afternoon when RNC officers confronted him. They say the 34-year-old was wanted on an outstanding warrant but gave them a false name.
He now faces additional charges, including mischief and breach of court orders.
