Persistent protesting from crab harvesters in the capital city in recent days has forced many high level meetings among government officials.
Harvesters are mad after the biomass for the 3L zone was split in two, with them claiming that move gives inshore harvesters significantly less than larger fleets.
Protests held yesterday moved from DFO, to the Sheraton, and finally to Confederation Building.
During question period Premier Andrew Furey revealed that he will be travelling to Ottawa next week to meet with the federal Minister on the issue, prompting one harvester in the public gallery to yell out that one week is too late.
Things got much more heated however after fisheries Minister Derrick Bragg finished addressing the issue, with the public gallery being cleared out and house proceedings halted for a time due to an uproar from harvesters.
Bragg immediately went out to the lobby to try to convene a meeting with FFAW Secretary Treasurer Jason Spingle and protest organizer Jason Sullivan.

While the atmosphere was mostly calm in the lobby, Bragg did encounter one angry harvester.
The man yelled that he would come get Bragg, and that they can lock him up if they want.
Bragg did have a meeting on the issue with protest organizers and FFAW leadership.
Meanwhile, Ottawa is feeling the pressure as well, with MP Seamus O’Regan tweeting that he is working with the federal fisheries minister on a solution, recognizing that time is of the essence.
