A tragic end to the search for a missing man.
RCMP say the body of Charles Jerrett has been found in the water near a wharf in Brigus.
The RCMP underwater recovery team found the 87-year-old man’s submerged Chevy Sonic, with the remains still inside, earlier today.
Jerrett was reported missing on Friday and last seen around 11 a.m. on Beaver Pond Road in Brigus.
The RCMP is thanking the Brigus Fire Department, Avalon North Wolverines Search and Rescue and everyone else who helped with the search.
They added that they send deepest condolences to the Jerrett family.
