Growlers Drop Playoff Opener to Thunder

The Newfoundland Growlers dropped their playoff opener in upstate New York last night 5-3.

The Adirondack Thunder scored in bunches, striking twice within 44 seconds in the first period before adding three more within a three-minute span of the middle frame. Michael Joyaux, Tommy Miller and Orrin Centazzo scored for the Growlers.

Game two in the series goes Friday night in the US at 8:30 NDT.
