The province is seeking applications for its Job Creation Partnerships program.
Municipalities and not-for-profit groups are eligible to submit projects that are geared toward community infrastructure and help give workers the opportunity to gain new work experience.
Weekly wages for the program have increased in-line with recent changes to minimum wage and employment insurance rates.
Weekly wages for a supervisor are set at $650 dollars, $623 dollars for an administrator and $580 dollars a week for a labourer, office clerk, or maintenance position.
Employers are being invited to apply online.
The deadline for applications is August 17. Approvals will begin in late April.
