The health centre in St. Lawrence will once again be without emergency services this week.

The shutdown takes effect 8:00 a.m. today and will last until Monday, May 1 at 8:00 a.m.

Primary health care such as family practice appointments, as well as outpatient lab services, will still be available and can be booked by calling 709-873-2330.

Anyone requiring emergency care during the closure should call 911 or go to the Burin Peninsula Health Centre or Dr. S. Beckley clinic in Grand Bank.

Meanwhile, urgent care will be available at the Whitbourne health centre today from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will also continue to be available at the same times on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

A limited number of same-day appointments is available by phone or walk-in on a first-come, first-served basis.
