Newfoundland and Labrador is sending help to Alberta as out-of-control wildfires continue to burn.
Over 80 fires are raging throughout that province, with thousands displaced and seeking help.
Premier Andrew Furey tweeted over the weekend that he had been in contact with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, and that this province will be sending help.
Furey writes that Newfoundlanders and Labradorians will be pitching in with the firefighting efforts, and the province will support Alberta once it’s time to rebuild.
Newfoundland and Labrador is always ready to help in challenging times. I spoke with Alberta Premier @ABDanielleSmith this morning to offer whatever support our province can as they battle those massive wildfires – now, and when it comes to rebuilding.
