Today is National Seal Products Day in Ottawa, a time to showcase the many items that can be made from seals.
The provincial government has sent Parliamentary Secretary Scott Reid to a reception in the nation’s capital this evening.
The event, which promotes seal products and highlights the importance of the seal hunt for Indigenous people, coastal communities and the province as a whole, will take place in the Speaker’s Dining Room on Parliament Hill.
