WestJet flights to and from St. John’s International Airport are being cancelled as the job dispute involving WestJet pilots heats up.
While talks continue between the company and the Air Line Pilots Association continue, members could walk off the job as of 4:30 a.m. Newfoundland time tomorrow if a new contract agreement can’t be reached.
The Calgary-based airline has already canceled some flights ahead of possible strike action, including flights to and from this province.
Travelers are asked to contact their carrier or check with their local airport ahead of time.
Due to potential job action, @WestJet and @FlySwoop passengers are advised to check their respective airline’s website for the latest flight information before coming to YYT.
