A Stephenville man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in the town late Thursday night.

Bay St. George RCMP were called after someone broke into a home on Marshall Court and stole a quantity of cash while holding the victim at knifepoint.

Twenty-one-year old Joshua McIssac was arrested shortly after and is facing a charge of robbery with a weapon.

Police do not believe it was a random act as McIssac and the victim are known to each other.

There were no injuries. The investigation continues.
