One man was killed after a collision between two transport trucks and a pickup this morning on the Trans-Canada Highway.
It happened near George’s Lake, south of Corner Brook, around 4 a.m.
RCMP say the driver of the pickup, a 37-year-old man, died at the scene while a second person in one of the big rigs suffered serious injuries.
Police believe the pickup crossed the centre line and collided with the two oncoming tractor-trailers.
They also say the victim was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the pickup.
The matter has been handed over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further investigation.
