The RCMP are reminding pet owners of their legal obligation to ensure their pets are not without ventilation in a hot car.
As the summer days get warmer, police are reminding drivers with their pets in the car that they are legally required to put a window down or turn on the air conditioning.
The Animal Health and Protection Act mandates that any animal in an enclosed space, such as a vehicle, has proper ventilation.
