A major water disruption that affected thousands of homes in the capital city’s west end has been resolved.
St. John’s city councilor Sandy Hickman provided the update at today’s council meeting.

He says the disruption was isolated by crew who are now running water into the area from Bay Bulls Big Pond into the west end. Residents may experience some discolouration and should run their taps until the water runs clear.
The city says a watermain break caused the unplanned outage. During repairs, some areas of the Petty Harbour Long Pond water supply will be supplied by the Bay Bulls Big Pond supply.
