The province’s privacy commissioner is coming down on the Town of Musgrave Harbour for failing to respond to access to information requests.
The commissioner’s office found that the town failed to respond to two access requests from the complainant, as well as two notifications of the complaints from the office.
The commissioner has ruled that the town failed its responsibility to an applicant and to the office.
The town is now being ordered to process the requests and respond to the complainant, as well as to review its records management policies and procedures, create access to information policies and comply with its statutory duties in the future.
