A driver with a heavy foot is in the lock-up after a police chase early Saturday morning.
Just after 2:00 a.m., a vehicle flew by RNC officers on patrol near Bay Bulls Road in the capital city.
Police chased the vehicle, but could not catch up with the vehicle’s high-speed pursuit.
RNC were able to track down the car parked on a nearby side street and arrested the 29-year-old driver who was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
He’s now without his license and vehicle and was ticketed for excessive speed.
He was held for court.
