A large chunk of the province is again under a heat warning as warm temperatures and high humidity become part of the daily routine.
But people have to be careful. Case in Point: on the East Coast Trail yesterday, a person had to be rescued after being overcome with symptoms from a heat-related illness.
A spokesman for the trail, Shane Skinner, says it’s important at all times to be hydrated but especially during hot weather.

He told VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly this morning that it’s also important to do some sort of trip plan whether you’re going out on the trail regardless of the duration of the trip.
Always let somebody known when you’re going and when you expect to return whether you’re going out for 5 minutes or two hours, he says.
Due to the forecasted high temperatures and humidex, the annual Party in the Park will be postponed. An announcement on whether or not the event can proceed on Thursday, July 20 will be made on Wednesday at noon.
