The heat wave that has taken hold over the province is now starting to affect the fishing season.
Parks Canada has closed several rivers and brooks in Gros Morne National Park to fishing due to high water temperatures.
Those areas are the section of Lomond Brook within the boundary of the park, East Branch Lomond River, and Deer Arm Brook from Deer Arm Pond to the high tide marks at Bonne Bay.
The closures are in effect immediately.
The areas will reopen if conditions improve.
